I’m a St. Augustine native, but it wasn’t until I moved back in 2020 that I began to experience this city in a completely different way.
What once felt familiar started to feel new again, like seeing my hometown through a different lens.
Now, it’s early morning walks through quiet streets, sunset evenings along the beach, and slowing down enough to notice the details I once overlooked.
Life here isn’t rushed.
It’s layered, and constantly changing depending on the time of day and the light.
And more often than not, my dog, Sophie is right there with me, leading the way to every must-sniff spot along the path.
These moments have shaped not just how I experience St. Augustine, but how I choose to capture it.
